Standing Ovation

"I do not believe that the accident of birth makes people sisters and brothers. It makes them siblings. Gives them mutuality of parentage. Sisterhood and brotherhood are conditions people have to work at. It's a serious matter. You compromise, you give, you take, you stand firm, and you're relentless...And it is an investment." (Maya A.)

My lovely friend Audrey over at Stage 3 Who Me has gifted me with this Sisterhood Award!

I believe in sister hood with all my heart. It keeps us sane in a world that can be harsh and frightening. Thank you Audrey, for this and for being one of my new friends....its so amazing that we can all hold the light for each other, even from afar!

I would like to pass it on to these women who truely make a difference just by being themselves

Lisa who is my befri, in blogland and in the physical world, she is one of my 'rocks' and I love her to bits

Renee who is a friend of my heart in a way I don't even understand but am grateful for nontheless

Cyndy my blogmuggling pal who always has something valuable to say and is beautiful through and through

Renata
because she cares

Gina for being a sweetheart and a soldier and always having something nice to say.

My friend John over at Smoke Rings and Matterings has given me this award too!

Spoilt brat I am.

Thank you John, for sharing your heart with your writing and for being a very nice man.

Passing this one on to Bagman and Butler, because I like him/them and they make me smile a lot.

To Chrisy for entertaining me every single time

To Diane for the same reason

To Audrey because her blog IS fabulous and so is she

I could go on and on and on but I will not. Thank you to everyone who makes a difference in my life each day here.

That means all of you.

Thank you as you know I love awards. Yipee. I'll take it pronto.

How are you feeling. Keep your feet up and let your man clean right around you. I also have no problem with that.

A friend once asked me, when Wahid cooks or cleans don't you feel like you should too instead of reading a book. Ugghhh. NO.

Love Renee

Mwa!So glad that you are "done" and can now look forward to a healthier life.
Maybe this is the start of change?
Am amazed that you were only in hospital for just a split second....recover quickly my firend and be gentle on yourself.w.w.

Oh my.... I am moved, Arty Farty.

Life has certainly been up that particular creek for you over the last year, yet you still find the glass half full and just keep on going regardless. I agreee with Renata: maybe this is the beginning...

Please give yourself time to recover from your surgery, & don't let the meds trick into feeling better than you really are. It is important in the big picture for your recovery.

A night out (or day trip) is definitely a date on the agenda. I will be down the last week in April!

Love to you xoxoxox

Thank you SO much for this! It is very much appreciated!

And I'm glad you're home, well and in good humor :). Take care of you and take time to heal... xo

Thank you honey for the award...I'm touched and so pleased to have 'met' you in cyberspace. Take care and accept any offers of help...I know it's not easy...I think one of my lessons in this lifetime is to feel at ease with reaching out and asking for help...and to receive it gracefully when it's given...

There are now pink hearts circling around Bagman's head like a cartoon! You are special. The day after I came home from the hospital a few years ago I wasn't sending awards to anyone...just lying around feeling sorry for myself.

Did you get your card alright?
I wasn't sure of your address.

Too many germs in my body and house, to visit you in hospital. Soz.xx♥

Michelle, if you have time you might come back to my post.

I am pleased to know that you are in good enough shape to be on line. I wonder how you sit right now.

But my post was put out half done by accident and was lacking the second poem, which got modified and renamed by the time I was done with writing about the poem.
