I went to the doctors 4 weeks ago, to have a blood test to make sure my iron levels weren't down before surgery
I rang last week as I hadn't heard from them and was told a nurse would ring me back
I rang today because I hadn't heard, just to check up in case.....because of course they would have rang me wouldn't they if I needed iron
Guess what.
My iron levels are down and now I have a whole 6 days to get them up
I am a tad miffed
Now I have to go see the quack tomorrow AS WELL AS EVERYTHING ELSE.....
ahem
also
the hospital rang
they have booked mum in for her very important planet aligning MRI
on MONDAY
yes, my surgery day
This will be good...
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
In spite of how this may all sound I am actually laughing my head off here....
for craps sake
snort!
I love my life
Really I do
No wonder I'm so tired!

Oh, bloody hell! Friggen incompetent fools!
If you don't laugh maniacly, you will drown. Mwa,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,!!!
Are we there yet?x
Laughing is what gets me through coming home to a broken laptop, broken vacuum and god knows where all the mail is, they tried telling me that I got one letter in 3 weeks hahahahahahaha <---- see it keeps me sane
If it weren't for my ability to find the humor in things, I would have killed myself or someone else long, long ago! It's definitely a defense mechanism for me. I was even laughing at my father's funeral. I didn't say my laughter was always appropriate, merely my saving grace. :-)
Yep, ready to swap now... tomorrow ok???
Damn red tape.
Damn hospitals that are overworked and underpaid.....
Laugh girlfriend - gotta laugh sometimes!!
Thanks Michelle so much for inviting me here.
Vitamin C helps digest iron into your body. The right amount of Vit C though. I think you can take too much and it counter acts. Thinking your body needs Vit C to digest the iron and without it it flushes through your system without staying?
Double check on these as some journals and magazines change there information over time.
Do you remember in the eighties on the news saying potatoes were bad for you. Then they changed their advice a few years later. We knew this one must of been silly. Uk news hey!
Maybe worth looking on the net? Hope you do get your iron up to the right level.
I will keep my fingers crossed. For your mum also, what a day.
Do you know I find this happens here to my friend Dawn and to me. Everything happens together like some magnet is involved, the energies of the earth.
What ever happened to bedside manners? Doctors are like that. I'll never forget sitting at work and getting a breezy phone call from a doctor, "Hi! Just following up on your test results. 5 out of 6 of the sites on your prostate show stage 3 cancer. Have a nice day."
shit- thats a bit rugged baby-i am full of funny feelings as to how this is panning out........
watching and sending love from a distance xx
I hope you went a little "Terminator" on them....in a very polite way of course, lol.

Okay, first of all...I am happy you are laughing!
- Second...the hospital didn't contact you??? NOT OK!!
- Third, when my iron was low, I ate Cream of Wheat. Next to baby pablum, it contains the highest content of iron. It seemed to work as I did not require another transfusion!
Stay strong beautiful lady. We are all praying for you.
xoxoxo
By the way, I just want to say thank you for your message on my blog.
I hope you don't mind my asking, what kind of surgery are you going to have?
gawd! The things that can be mixed up! They had some mix ups on Frank's care...have to stay on top of it, don't we?
Hugs to you.....
That is not much time to get your iron up.
Do you like liver? It is a good source of iron, I know, because mine is always low too.
I'm glad you are laughing because that is all we can do in madness and chaos.
Love Renee
