On setting boundaries....

Artist: Kathy Hare

It's been an interesting week

One in which I have been exploring my boundaries I guess

Having a little think about where I will and won't go in regards to 'love', sex, relationships....that stuff

Pondering the things I want out of life

A point that I have gotten to in all this self exploration I have been forced into this past couple of months?

Well the point is that I am willing to go put myself out there, I am willing to try a new thing and yeah, I am willing to be up front and honest.

What I will not do is fall down for anyone.

I will not put my self in a space I don't feel safe in.

I will not feel less than anyone because they know more than me and I will NOT settle for less, full stop.

So, that should make life interesting shouldn't it

They may know more about a particular subject/ subjects, BUT! you have amassed a deep knowledge of many things, due to your life experiences. My Mr. Genius is often in awe of me, and my knowledge, even though he is technically more 'intelligent' than I. Never underestimate have plenty of smarts.

Oh, and yes lunch would be lovely.xx♥

Michelle, Do NOT settle for less. But the rub is, how do you know? I have a broken picker and the reason I ended up with a 20 year marriage is I went against my picker and chose the woman God put in my life to love. It was an arranged marriage in that way. I don't know how that all works, not at all.

If you can't be with the one you love, you love the one you're with. Hmmm.

I know for sure I have a broken picker.

My dear, I don't even know what it would mean to not settle for less. Less than what--perfection? I find EVERYTHING lacking in some regard. Even if it is complete in every other way, it will still come to an end, and to me that represents a serious lack.

I started to say that I was like Christopher, the broken picker thing...but actually my picker was fine and my marriage is good. I thought he was refering to someting else and after my prostate surgery a few years ago mine is broken, much to Butler's glee and Bagman's chagrine. I'm glad for Chrisopher that he was talking about something else. What this has to do with your blog, I'm not sure except that I envy whoever you pick.
